4. Solvers for field equations
DAMASK depends on an external numerical solvers Currently, the two commercial FEM solvers MSC.Marc/Mentat and Abaqus are supported. For periodic volume elements, we recommend the spectral solver included in DAMASK. Note that these solvers can be installed independently and in parallel.
