DAMASK — Installation

Supported systems

The material models included in DAMASK can be interfaced to three different solvers: The included spectral solver and the commercial FEM solvers MSC.Marc and Abaqus std. DAMASK was successfully installed on Mac OS and different GNU/Linux distributions. It should be straightforward to run it on other Unix-based operation systems. Running DAMASK on windows is possible with the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), docker, and virtualization tools like VirtualBox or vmware.

To Install DAMASK,
  1. install the necessary Auxiliary software depending on the solver you want to use
  2. configure your system
  3. install the Pre and post processing tools
  4. configure DAMASK to use our numerical solver of choice
